We are a motivated and collaborative group of local parents who see the immense potential of Wingfield Park — not just as a playground, but as a cornerstone of Walthamstow community life.

Our priorities

Through partnership with Waltham Forest Council and local residents, we believe that Wingfield Park can become:

1. A safe and welcoming place to play – with well-maintained, age-appropriate equipment and inclusive design.
2. A park that’s accessible to all – including children with disabilities, families with pushchairs, and older carers.
3. A space that fosters community connection – through thoughtful layout, seating, and potential for events or activities.
4. A park that celebrates nature – with more planting, shade, and opportunities for children to engage with the natural world.
